Huawei has announced the release of its latest smartwatch, the Huawei Watch Ultimate, a high-end device. Drawing inspiration from classic dive watches by renowned brands such as Breitling, Rolex, and TAG Heuer, the Watch Ultimate boasts a sleek design and innovative features.
The Huawei Watch Ultimate's distinguishing feature is its liquid metal casing made of a zirconium-based material typically reserved for luxury timepieces. This material is 4.5 times stronger and 2.5 times harder than stainless steel, making the watch exceptionally durable.
In addition to its premium design, the Watch Ultimate is also a highly capable dive watch, certified to the EN13319 standard for diving equipment. It can withstand depths of up to 110 meters and is suitable for technical and free diving. The smartwatch offers a range of software functionalities tailored for diving, including depth tracking, timing, and dive log recording.
Beyond its diving capabilities, the Huawei Watch Ultimate also features everyday health monitoring functions. It provides enhanced CE MDR-certified ECG analysis, all-day heart rate monitoring, irregular heart rate notifications, arteriosclerosis risk screening, all-day SpO2 tracking, and sleep monitoring.
The Huawei Watch Ultimate features a 1.5-inch LTPO AMOLED color screen display with a 466 × 466 pixels resolution and 311 PPI. The watch case is available in two variants: the Voyage Blue, which has a steel-color finish, and the Expedition Black, which is finished in black. Both variants utilize sapphire glass for the watch dial, nanocrystalline ceramic for the watch bezel and rear case, and zirconium-based liquid metal for the front case. The Voyage Blue model has a titanium strap, while the Expedition Black model includes a black HNBR strap.
With dimensions of 48.5 mm × 48.5 mm × 13 mm and a weight of approximately 76 g (excluding the strap), the Huawei Watch Ultimate is designed to fit wrist sizes ranging from 140 to 210 mm. It is equipped with an array of sensors, including an accelerometer, gyroscope, magnetometer, optical heart rate sensor, barometer, temperature sensor, and depth sensor. The watch also features three buttons: an assist button, a rotating crown, and a function button.
The Huawei Watch Ultimate supports wireless charging and has a 10 ATM water-resistant rating, complying with the ISO 22810:2010 standard for 100-meter water resistance. It also meets the EN 13319 standard for diving accessories, supporting free diving up to 100 meters. However, it is not recommended in hot showers, hot springs, saunas, or during high-pressure rinsing or other activities involving high water pressure, high temperatures, high humidity, or fast-flowing water.
This smartwatch is compatible with devices running HarmonyOS 2 or later, Android 6.0 or later, and iOS 9.0 or later. It supports NFC and Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity, built-in speakers, and a microphone. The watch has an ambient operating temperature range of -20℃ to +45℃.
In typical usage scenarios, the Huawei Watch Ultimate offers a 14-day battery life, while heavy usage can still provide up to 8 days of battery life. The package includes the watch, a charging cable cradle, a quick start guide, safety information, and a warranty card.
